About the program

Your mission is to contribute to the child, promote education, ensure a proper physical, emotional, and social development, and assure the beneficiaries, tranquility and satisfaction.  This children’s center has kids between the ages of one month to 6 years. It emerged as a place where the children of working parents could have a place to be educated, have friends, and feel comfortable. Some of the children come from single parent families who would struggle without the help of the day care center.

Typically, the day care centers are filled with children in the surrounding areas from different backgrounds, ranging from low to middle class. What families are charged depends on household income.
The day care center is located in Santa Barbara de Heredia. It is a nice quiet place with a lovely park and people are very relaxed. With the bus you can get fast to Heredia center, to all bus stations in San Jose to get to the beach.

The following are some of the volunteer’s responsibilities:

  • Taking care of small babies and children
  • Helping with kitchen duties
  • Attending to children
  • Creating activities and entertaining the children with games and songs
  • Teaching Basic English, hygiene, and spiritual values

Meet your organization

Jamso Trainee has been placing volunteers around the world for over six years. We're passionate about making a difference in developing communities. Cause we are a smaller agency we stay always in a good communication to our volunteers and to the communites. For us it is important to find the right programm for your stay abroad. Don´t travel just like a tourst!

History:

Jamso Trainee startet in December 2012 helping in communities in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is since now the county with the most interns, volunteers and travelers.

Since 2013 Jamso Trainee started working with partners in Ecuador, Peru, South Afrika.

2015 we begin working with our partner Bali and Thailand.

Visiting projects and getting more relationshsips with local charities is a goal of each year. Jamso Trainee don´t increase too fast, because for us it is very important to hold long contacts and stay in a good communication with volunteers and projects.
