Community Engagement: Volunteers will engage with local communities, raising awareness about primate conservation, and sustainable living practices, and fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among residents.

Environmental Education: Volunteers will collaborate with local schools, organizing workshops and educational activities to promote environmental awareness and conservation ethics among young learners.

Habitat Restoration: Participants will be involved in habitat restoration initiatives, including tree planting, to rejuvenate degraded areas and create sustainable environments for wildlife.

Research and Data Collection: Volunteers will support ongoing research projects, collecting valuable data on primate behavior, habitat usage, and environmental factors, contributing to scientific knowledge and conservation strategies.

As a volunteer, your participation will directly contribute to the day-to-day operations of the conservation centre. Working closely with experienced staff members and fellow volunteers, your involvement will have a lasting impact on the lives of these remarkable creatures.

Volunteer Tasks

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the monkey enclosures, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for the monkeys.
  • Participate in feeding sessions, providing the monkeys with the nourishment they need for their health and well-being.
  • Engage in interactive activities with the baby monkeys, promoting their socialization and development.
  • Help in collecting and composting the monkeys' waste and food remnants, contributing to sustainable practices within the conservation centre.
  • Support educational initiatives by teaching English to underprivileged children in the local community on a weekly basis.

Typical Daily Schedule

  • 7:45 AM - Breakfast
  • 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM - Assist with enclosure cleaning, food preparation, interact with baby monkeys, or engage in other assigned tasks.
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Lunch break
  • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Observe the monkeys' playful activities, while also assisting with their cleaning and grooming routines.
  • 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM - Dinner
  • After dinner, volunteers have free time to relax and engage in personal activities.
