    About the program

This school reinforcement program has as its main objective to help Peruvian children and youth from vulnerable backgrounds, who come to this center in search of better educational opportunities.

A major problem faced by these children and youth is linguistic discrimination: the languages of highland and jungle natives are often associated with poverty and lack of education; children who speak these languages face significant difficulties in adapting to the system and feeling comfortable and empowered with their culture. Therefore, this project also seeks to support children and youth who face this discrimination and to empower them.

Our main goal is to create a space where children and youth feel comfortable, where they can develop, learn, acquire new skills and enjoy their childhood.

As a volunteer, you can contribute in four main areas: education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and recreation. Some of the specific tasks you can perform include:
    • Delivering workshops and talks to improve self-esteem.
    • Giving reinforcement classes in subjects such as art, mathematics, Spanish, drawing and English.
    • Supporting our recreational areas with didactic games.
    • Planning visits to museums, trips to parks or swimming pools.
    • Food for children
    • Health days
