the health and well-being of people through advocacy, health promotion,
capacity building and linkages to quality health and social services with
overall community participation and involvement.
Our
Goals
a) To provide access to
age appropriate basic health information and education in order to create and
increase the level of awareness about prevention of diseases and other health
related risks.
b) To provide linkage
& access to free health services by organizing community medical outreaches
in the rarely penetrated areas with limited access to health services.
c) To build capacity of
community members and partner with other agencies to advocate for good health
policies, human rights and quality health services delivery.
d) To build the
capacity of young people with appropriate skills to enable them prosper and
champion development in their communities.
e) To engage in research and carry out
studies in order to establish evidence for advocacy and improvement of service
delivery at community level.
f) To empower
communities with skills to foster economic growth and development.
Where we work
Our
main office is in Kampala city in Uganda and regional community office in
Butaleja district in Eastern Uganda.
We work with mainly
schools in central Uganda and both schools and communities in Eastern and some
communities in Western Uganda. Uganda is located in the East African
region bordering Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Southern Sudan. Its a
stable country with good weather and tourist sights.
