About the program
Give love, care, and companionship to shelter cats and dogs at APROP. Your support helps them find loving forever homes!
Why is our program important?
In Spain there is no national or even regional organisation responsible for managing the welfare of companion animals, or for rescuing cats and dogs that are lost, abandoned, mistreated or living on the streets. It is the responsibility of the local town councils who ...

Details on arrival
We need volunteers all year round, but particularly during the summer months when so many people are away on holiday.
There is no set starting day or date, but we welcome anybody who can contribute their time to help us.
We need volunteers to look after the animals every day, but this does not mean that you will have to work every day if you do not wish to. But we will expect you to work with us either in the morning or the afternoon for the majority of the days that you are with us. Normally you will help care for the cats and/or dogs 5 mornings a week in accordance with the published rota but you can let your preferences be known to the rota co-ordinators.
Pego is an hour's drive between either Valencia or Alicante, depending on how and where you are coming from. There is a train service from Alicante to Denia, from where you can get a taxi to Pego. The Pego Tourist information office will be able to give you more information on this and other travel options.
