Come to Jaipur and experience real life in India and the north Indian State of Rajasthan. The city is surrounded by hills and impressive buildings that represented forts. Jaipur was established by the then Maharaja, Sawai Jai Singh in the year 1927. The graceful architecture of the City that runs across in pink color has earned Jaipur the title of "The Pink City".
Volunteer with children from low-income communities and support
working parents by volunteering in a daycare. Children who end up in
the project are usually from homes that cannot afford education,
proper nutrition, and a safe environment; volunteers are a great help
to the staff who are usually overwhelmed by the number of children
that they have to tend to.
Children in the project range are from 03-12 years of age. Volunteers supporting in this program can support in activities such as:
-Help with the hygiene of the kids such as brushing teeth, washing hands, etc.
-Basic education such as numbers, colors, spelling, basic math.
-Arts and crafts workshops with the kids.
-Playing educational games with the children. Dances, storytelling, etc.
-Teaching good eating habits.
-Assisting the staff of the project in cooking meals and basic maintenance tasks.
-Promoting education for girls in the area.
-Interaction with the parents of the children & presenting the General vaccination schedule to the parents along with helping the local staff to take care of the kids.
