About the program

Are you studying medicine, are you a nurse, do you want to put your skills and knowledge into practice? We have a medical volunteer program in India. Together with the local medical team and the mobile van, you can care for children and young people from vulnerable communities in India.

The main objective of the medical program in India is to provide some of the population living in rural areas and slums of Jaipur with basic medical care. A van is in operation every day and functions as a clinic providing counselling, medical care and health care.
As a volunteer, you may find that many street children are exploited and forced to work, even sick. This environment and treatment causes many of them to suffer from diseases such as:
  • Tuberculosis
  • Asthma
  • Hepatitis
  • Malaria
  • Respiratory tract infections
  • Sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV/AIDS.
  • One of the main roles of a volunteer is to support the local medical team. If you are a volunteer who is studying medicine, nursing or has first aid experience, the possibilities for support in more specific areas will be greater.
Some of the check-ups and care provided as part of medical volunteering in India are:
  • Blood pressure
  • Temperature
  • Height and weight
  • Treatment of minor injuries
  • Patient records
  • Tasks and activities often vary from day to day.
One of the main functions of a volunteer is to support the local medical team. If you are a volunteer who is studying medicine, nursing or has a background in first aid, the possibilities to support in more specific areas will be greater.

If you don't have experience, the doctors will point out the activities you can support, as there are many different situations and cases.

The medical team in the van consists of: a doctor, a nurse, an assistant, a counsellor, a receptionist and a local volunteer.

Meet your organization

ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER is a non-profit organization, established in 2017. We collaborate in the social and environmental field through projects of conservation and protection of the environment and animals, as well as in the social part through projects of empowerment of women, community development, functional diversity, medical or teaching.

Our team of collaborators has a deep experience in international volunteer programs.  We know all the realities of the areas where we are working, collaborating and where we have a presence.

Our projects offer volunteers the opportunity to meet, share and participate in social and environmental projects. These projects demand educational and recreational activities that benefit communities of different cultures and customs, communities with economic difficulties and different degrees of social exclusion.

If we were to pay for a taxi ...
