About the program

In this programme we work with women living in slums and from below poverty line families on the outskirts of Jaipur.

Every day girls and women come to our centre and here we teach them formal and informal education, provide vocational training, etc.

In terms of education, we teach them basic English (Spanish, French, etc.), mathematics, Hindi and computer classes. English has become a language of global communication that unites many parts of the world. It is very important that these women see themselves and others as being able to participate in that global conversation.

We offer training in many of the areas in which these women are likely to find work. We organise classes in sewing, henna drawing and cooking for these girls and women, so that with the help of these skills they can even start their own business so that in the near future they are not dependent on their husbands and men.

We also provide timely counselling service and create a friendly environment for women and girls to feel in a safe place to share their problems and talk freely about any issue.

In our women's empowerment programme we also offer the opportunity to teach girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 16. In this programme, participants have the wonderful opportunity to work with women and children in one programme.

That is why we mix the programme: most of the children who come to our centre are the children of the women who also come here and it is better for the little ones to be with them. The children who live in the slums cannot go to school because their families are very poor and there is no awareness about children's education.

Our main motive for this programme is: to get equal education opportunities, equal employment opportunities without gender bias and a safe and comfortable working environment.

Meet your organization

ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER is a non-profit organization, established in 2017. We collaborate in the social and environmental field through projects of conservation and protection of the environment and animals, as well as in the social part through projects of empowerment of women, community development, functional diversity, medical or teaching.

Our team of collaborators has a deep experience in international volunteer programs.  We know all the realities of the areas where we are working, collaborating and where we have a presence.

Our projects offer volunteers the opportunity to meet, share and participate in social and environmental projects. These projects demand educational and recreational activities that benefit communities of different cultures and customs, communities with economic difficulties and different degrees of social exclusion.
